Minibar Royale appear striking with elongated doors and decidedly European tables and partitions. The décor is heavy on thick oak-colored wood and dark red velvet cushions. On one wall are shelves and a mirror to give the effect of a living room with a full bar at the end to cater to all drink related needs.

       The food served here is mainly French-American comfort food of large portion as is traditional for New York. Start light with Bake Eggs and spinach where spinach and bacon is baked with cheese first before eggs are broken in and slowly cooked by the heat of the mixture. The Duck Confit with Gratin Dauphin is provides for the tempting main course and is best had with Hot Espresso. Speaking of espresso, make sure you try their latest dessert the espresso Panna cotta where one shot of espresso is poured onto the Panna cotta for a rich and caramelly delight. The Espresso Affogato is similarly pleasant with ice-cream, espresso and crushed almond.

Coffee Shop-Viva Café

Viva Café is bright, White and airy thanks to the all-round glass panels. Easy-going ambiance, soft music, tantalizing Thai and Italian fusions and fine bakery… all yours at the most sensible prices.

            Although they are a relatively new operation of just one year, Viva café boasts a team of experienced service people who attend to the clients’ needs as if they are members of their own family. Order either a hot or cold Lavazza coffee of your choice. The iced Mocha has layers of chocolate, cream and coffee for an overall smoothness. The Blended espresso gives satisfying aroma and intense flavors while the hot latte is soft and gentle as befits the name.

            The food here is equally good. The mixed vegetable Lasagna features spinach, eggplant and zucchini with sweet and sour sauce and light spice aroma. It is served with a Japanese salad. On the sweet side of things, try white Strawberry Mousse Cake for the uniformed texture of the mousse and the juice Strawberry hidden inside and the fresh strawberry sauce on top.

Coffee Shop-Q Cafe’

Few places on Thonglor rival Q Cafe’ by Concept Store in terms of chicness. With mixed and match vintage décor, polka dot patterns, pastel colored chairs and blackened wooden furniture, Q Cafe’ manages nicely to be retro and current at the same time. Outside seatings are available for those good weather days over a cup of coffee.
This good sized café’ serves up Italian dishes with a hint of Thai. The Spaghetti Bacon with Rocket, for example, is sprinkled with their very own zesty ground chill. Their interpretation of egg benedict is hearty with a ham and half-cooked egg with rich Hollandaise sauce all on top of an English muffin-a perfect pairing with the lightly sweet Caramel Macchiato. But if you are craving something more intense, go for their Mocha chip frappuccino before capping the meal with a juicy chocolate brownie with thick chocolate sauce and some whipped cream for good measure.
